TV Series “Modern Family” is planning to film in Australia

Modern FamilyModern Family‘s producers are hoping to film an upcoming episode of the TV show in Australia.

While plans for the episode are yet to be finalised, the show’s executive producer Steve Levitan told Fairfax, at a pre-Emmy Awards event, they were very keen to bring the show to Australia. Nothing has been formally announced yet.

 

It is understood the show’s production team is currently investigating the logistics of moving the cast and key crew to Australia for the episode.

The show has established a tradition of filming an “away” episode each season.

The proposed Australian episode would be a future “away” episode, most likely for the show’s upcoming fifth season.

The show’s “away” episodes always involve the entire family travelling as a group.

In past seasons they have visited Hawaii, Florida, a dude ranch in Wyoming and LA’s Disneyland theme park.

The castmembers would love travel to Australia. The show has a strong following in Australia.

One of its stars, actor Eric Stonestreet, is an ambassador for the Australian retail chain Big W.

Production has begun on the show’s fifth season. It will launch in Australia at the end of the month.
