Rapper Kanye West has been accused of stealing design sketches from former Nike designer, Tony Spackman, and claiming them as YEEZY originals.
In April this year, West tweeted a sketch with the caption, “This is where a YEEZY study for base layer starts. I’m so excited about our new design team. YEEZY is no longer a fashion company we should be referred to as apparel or clothing or simply YEEZY.”
The tweet caught the attention of Spackman, who later posted comparison photos of his and West’s sketches on his Instagram Stories. The two appeared to be identical.
Spackman also added, “When Kanye rips of your 10-year-old Nike sketch and claims it.” He also claimed that West photoshopped the date and title out.
West recently admitted he did plagiarise the ex-Nike designs as YEEZY sketch.
