Vance Joy Coming To Australia After 3 Years

Vance Joy

Vance Joy has recently announced that he will be returning to his home country next year for his first tour in three years.

It will be starting in September 2022, have 13 dates and stops including Darwin, Cairns, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Canberra, Newcastle, Gippsland, Hobart, Adelaide and Busselton.

He is set to end the tour with two shows outside Sydney Opera House, as well as a “hometown gig” in Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

He will be joined by some special guests that include The Rubens, Middle Kids, Thelma Plum, Budjerah, and Mia Wray.

“I’ve been talking about doing a tour like this one for years, so it’s incredibly exciting that it’s becoming a reality. I love touring in Australia and can’t wait to really explore the country on this extended tour, playing not just the cities but also the regional areas too.”

Vance Joy’s last album, Nation of Two (2018) was released three years ago. It reached the top of the ARIA Album Chart and became his second one to do so.

This year, he has released some new music. He had a collaboration with producer Benny Blanco and DJ Marshmello on You. He then released his solo single Missing Piece. There has been no news around whether that song will appear on a follow-up album to Nation of Two.

Tickets will go on general sale next Friday November 12 from midday local time. Pre-sale tickets for Frontier Member will begin on Wednesday November 10.
