It’s official! Taylor Swift will be opening 2018’s American Music Awards.

Swift took to social media on Wednesday to announce the news that she’ll be performing at the award show with her fourth single I Did Something Bad from her sixth studio album Reputation.

The post included a video of Swift with her cat Meredith who walked away looking unamused.

“I’m opening up the American Music Awards with a performance of “I Did Something Bad.” Meredith is not excited, but I am. #AMAs,” Swift said.

The 28-year-old singer is nominated in four categories which are: Artist of the Year, Favourite Pop/Rock Album (Reputation), Favourite Pop/Rock Female Artist and Tour of the Year (Reputation Stadium Tour). From 2007 till 2015, the Shake It Off singer has won 19 awards from 25 nominations at the AMAs.

The Delicate singer joins a long list of A-listers performing at this year’s AMAs including Shawn Mendes with Zedd, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Bad Bunny and J Balvin, Dua Lipa, Panic! at the Disco, Post Malone and Ty Dolla $ign, Ciara with Missy Elliot, Mariah Carey, Carrie Underwood, Benny Blanco with Halsey and Khalid.

The award show will be hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross on ABC October 9, live from L.A.’s Microsoft Theatre at 8pm.
