Sheppard Announces New Single

Sheppard

Sheppard have recently announced the arrival of their new single Christmas Without You. This new Christmas tune is for those who are missing someone they love this Christmas.

The group released this song at the end of a huge year for them, with their 2021 album Kaleidoscope Eyes reaching number two on the ARIA charts.

Their song Coming Home also received over 60 million streams on Spotify.

The group are going to be celebrating the release of their new tune on December 11th when they perform at Brisbane Lord Mayor Christmas Carols.

Christmas Without You fits the year the world has just had perfectly. Bells and piano with the vocals of George Sheppard. It’s situated around missing someone during the holiday time.

“My sisters and I realised that there must be so many people who, for whatever reason, haven’t been able to see their families and loved ones for a very long time, and Christmas time can be particularly hard for people in those circumstances. We wanted to write a song for all of those people who might not be having such a great Christmas without their families, and to leave them with a little bit of warmth and hope.”

The video for the single was created by Polish graphic design firm Ars Thanea. It showcases CGI imagery and fits the melody and feel of the song very well.

“We’ve been lucky enough to be invited to perform at a few of the big carol events this year, which is a huge honour. We’ll be playing this new Christmas song of course! It will sound huge with a full live band and possibly an orchestra, so we’re really hoping it will be a beautiful spectacle for families all across Australia.”

Sheppard have accumulated over 850 million streams over all platforms, have achieved a few number ones all over the world, and got the opportunity to perform at the half-time performance slot at the AFL Grand Final last year. This is where they announced their 2021 album.
