Further Information Revealed About Shane Warne’s Death

Shane Warne's Autopsy Results

The tragic death of Shane Warne over the weekend left the sporting community, as well as the nation, at a loss for words. One of Australia’s greatest sporting icons had taken his last breath while on holiday in Thailand.

The 52-year-old was found unresponsive in his holiday villa by one of his friends, who reportedly tried to wake him up to no success.

The group of friends performed CPR for 20 minutes before the ambulance arrived, however, he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the Thai International Hospital.

The cause of death since Saturday was said to be a heart attack, however it was only revealed on Monday that there was no foul play and that the heart attack was due to natural causes.

Warne had always been known as a party boy who smoked and drank in excess, however, he had taken on a much healthier lifestyle later in life, adding further mystery to his cause of death.

Thailand’s deputy police spokesman, Krissana Pattanacharoen, confirmed the cause of death in an official statement:

“Investigators received an autopsy report today in which a forensic doctor concludes the death was due to natural causes.”

A state funeral is set to take place for Warne with attendees expected to include celebrity friends, former team mates and even former Prime Ministers.
