Patrick Stewart Confirms Professor X Return In Dr Strange

Professor X In Doctor Strange Film

While he initially denied that it was him, Patrick Stewart has now confirmed he was the mystery voice in the trailer for the latest Doctor Strange film. Not only that, he has also confirmed he was indeed voicing his iconic character of Charles Xavier, the X-Men leader known as Professor X.

In a new interview with Jake’s Takes, the actor spoke about the idea of Professor X appearing in Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness. He was first asked about what would potentially happen if Doctor Strange and Professor X were ever to meet.

Stewart’s initial response was: “Professor X would be extraordinarily cautious and watchful, and perhaps feel a little insecure because there is something that is potentially dangerous about this man, and I think that would put Professor Xavier on guard.”

Stewart then confessed that his voice and some parts of his body were in the trailer, adding that he initially did not recognise his own voice when the ad appeared during the Super Bowl.

If Stewart is indeed coming back as Professor X, it will be the first time since the last Wolverine movie, Logan, during which Charles was killed by X-24, a clone of Wolverine that also killed his older counterpart, played for the final time in that film by Hugh Jackman.

Spider-Man director Sam Raimi will be directing the film, the cast of which includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. Patrick Stewart and many other surprise stars will be featured.
