Prince is Back!

Prince

Are you a Prince fan? Have you always been a Prince fan? Well if you are, you’re in for some new music!

A new Prince album, which has until now been unreleased, will be revealed to the public on July 30.

The superstar’s estate announced the upcoming new music from the legend who sadly passed away in April 2016 due to an accidental fentanyl overdose at the age of 57. This music will be released in a new LP called Welcome 2 America.

You can listen to the title track (of the same name) as of now on streaming platforms. The song is about the addiction to smartphones, the education state in the US and the taxes of the country.

After the completion of the album, Prince headed on a tour of the same name, visiting various US cities and huge venues which included The Forum in California.

The deluxe edition of this album will be both on a CD and black vinyl, although fans can also download a high resolution copy online, and will able to witness the previously unreleased full concert video from the April 2011 show at The Forum.

There will also be two ‘special’ versions. There will be a Gold Vinyl edition available from the official Prince store and a Clear Vinyl available from Target.

The deluxe edition has been announced as a luxe gold-foil package that has been designed by GRAMMY-nominee Mathieu Bitton (artist) and GRAMMY-nominee Trevor Guy (creative director). It will be released with a 12×12 inch 32-page companion book and embossed vellum envelope which will include Welcome 2 America era content including a photographic art print, replica setlist, ticket, 23×36 inch poster, VIP invitation and backstage passes.
