Singer-Songwriter PARKER Lists Her Top 5 Favourite Tassie Artists

Singer-songwriter PARKER has just dropped a brand new track titled Superhuman. Check it out at the bottom of this article.

To celebrate the release, PARKER wanted to share with you her Top 5 Favourite Tassie Artists

This Launceston duo are such great pop songwriters, producers and performers. Jack McLaine from Sumner has been working with me on the PARKER live show and is also my front of house engineer. They have been working on a bunch of new music and I’m so excited for them. Keep your ears out for these guys. They are gonna be huge!

Medhanit is an incredible young artist from Launceston. She released her first single Her recently, which is a stunning indie pop track. I saw her perform at Junction Festival in 2019 and Mona Foma festival in 2020 and she has such great energy on stage. She is currently working on a collection of singles and music videos to be released later this year and early next.  I can’t wait to see her perform live again.

Emma Anglesey
This song and clip are so stunning and showcases not only Emma’s immense talent as a musician and dancer, but also the natural beauty of the Tasmanian wilderness. I am in a band called Runaway Belles with Em and she is currently working on her own solo projects alongside performing in the PARKER band. What a powerhouse!!!

Denni Proctor
The first time I heard Denni sing was the Welcome to Country for an event at Cataract Gorge during the Mofo Festival in January this year. Her voice is exquisite and she is an incredible musician, songwriter and advocate for indigenous culture.  She recently released this video.

Costume ‘Electronic, orchestral-infused art pop and outrageous glamour from Hobart-based sonic and literary maven Adam Ouston’.  – Dark Mofo

Their debut album was recorded in Reykjavik at the iconic Greenhouse Studios (which has hosted the likes of Björk, Sigur Rós, The xx, and Kanye West) and their live show premiered at Dark Mofo in 2019. I’m really excited about the collaborative concept record we are working on together funded by Arts Tasmania.
