Ozzy Osbourne Releases First Single In A Decade

Ozzy Osbourne

Just recently, Rave It Up reported that legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne was working on a new album.

Fans of Ozzy will now be pleased to hear that the Prince of Darkness has released his first single in a decade!

Under The Graveyard is the first track from the heavy rocker’s forthcoming album, Ordinary Man, which is scheduled to drop in early 2020.

The album was recorded in Los Angeles, and joining Ozzy were special guests Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan on bass and Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers on drums.

According to Ozzy, the recording got underway when he met with producer and guitarist Andrew Watt to speak about a potential collaboration with rapper Post Malone.

“It all started when (daughter) Kelly comes in and says, ‘Do you want to work on a Post Malone song?'” Ozzy recalls.

“My first thing was, ‘Who the f**k is Post Malone?’

“I went to Andrew’s house and he said, ‘We will work really quick’. After we finished that song, he said, ‘Would you be interested in starting an album?’

Ozzy replied to Watt that this would be “f**king great”.

“But now I am thinking, ‘I don’t want to be working in a basement studio for six months!’

And in just a short time, we had the album done.”

The former Black Sabbath singer said that he, McKagan and Smith would jam during the day, and that he would work on the songs in the evenings.

While he confided to his wife Sharon that, in his opinion, he should be doing the album alone, he also realised he didn’t have the strength to do so while he was recovering from a fall at his house (see this article for details)

“I really hope people listen to it and enjoy it,” he said about the album.

“Because I put my heart and soul into this album.”

Under The Graveyard dropped on Friday, November 8.
