Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s Letitia Wright Recovers From On-Set Injury

The new Marvel film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will temporarily shut down production, while their main actress Letitia Wright, recovers from an injury that occurred on-set in September.

Production will reportedly halt until early 2022.

Wright’s injury happened while shooting a sequence involving a stunt rig.

“Letitia has been recovering in London since September from injuries sustained on the set of Black Panther 2 and is looking forward to returning to work early 2022,” a statement from Wright’s reps says.

“Letitia kindly asks that you keep her in your prayers.”

Her injury was not expected to impact production, so filming had continued on without her, until now.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set for release on November 11, 2022.

Not much is known about the plot yet, but Wright’s character Shuri is expected to take on a larger role following Chadwick Boseman’s death from colon cancer in August 2020.
