Jason Momoa In Talks To Join Fast & Furious 10

Jason Momoa In Talks For Fast & The Furious Franchise

Yet another superstar could potentially be joining the cast of the Fast & Furious franchise. Jason Momoa, of Game of Thrones fame, is in final negotiations to join Vin Diesel in the latest instalment.

While talks are muffled, it is rumoured that the Aquaman star could be playing one of the film’s villains. Universal had no comment on the matter.

Justin Lin, who returned to the franchise with 2021’s F9: The Fast Saga, is back in the director’s chair alongside Diesel. Also returning for the 10th film are longtime stars Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and Sung Kang. Charlize Theron, whose character of Cipher was introduced in the eighth flick, The Fate of the Furious, and returned for F9, is also expected to be back.

Dwayne Johnson – who starred in films five through eight and in spin-off flick Hobbs and Shaw – recently emphatically turned down the offer to return to the films. After skipping F9, Diesel practically begged Johnson to return, but Johnson told a December interview that there was “no chance” of that happening. Johnson also labelled Diesel “manipulative”.

After this, the race was on to find someone who could fill Johnson’s shoes – someone with both star and muscle power. Momoa seems a great choice, but as the script is still a work in progress, it is unclear exactly what his character will be.
