James Franco has recently been sued by two former acting students, over sexual harassment, discrimination and more inappropriate acts.
The complaint was filed last Thursday accusing the actor of convincing his students into nudity and sex, and was accused of “pushing the boundaries.” This apparently happened due to him presenting them with employment if they agreed.
The complaint quotes James’ statement from the first allegations which arose in 2018. He states, “If I have done something wrong, I will fix it. I have to.”
Both students claim Franco’s school was “a ruse to create a steady stream of young women to objectify and exploit” and a “fraudulent institution designed to circumvent California’s ‘Pay for Play’ regulations and lure students in by providing them false hopes of acquiring job opportunities with Franco’s productions.”
It has been stated the studio charged extra for advanced classes, including a class called ‘Master Class: Sex Scenes’ that Franco taught himself. Both students enrolled in the school (Studio 4) in 2014, one in February and one in April.
One student claims James “removed protective guards from actresses’ vaginas while simulating oral sex during an orgy scene, got angry when women refused to go topless and pressured students to sign vague nudity riders.”
These complaints are apparently on behalf of “all female students who enrolled in Studio 4 and expressed interest in Defendants’ Master Classes and who subsequently either participated or did not participate in these Master Classes,” as well as the students who complained.
One of said students filed a complaint back in January 2018, where she claimed that during his productions, James encouraged “a culture of exploiting non-celebrity women.”
James’ attorney has yet to speak on the allegations, and hasn’t responded in request for comment.
