Green Day Tease Fans With New Music

Green Day

Green Day have been rocking out for almost 35 years and have released a massive 13 studio albums, with their latest effort being 2020’s Father of All Motherf**kers, which was met with critical and commercial success.

Fast forward to 2021 and the band have been teasing new music at London’s RAK Studios this past weekend.

A teaser video was posted to their Instagram and sees the band in their element in what seems like a standard recording session.

The number 1972 pops up in the video, the year in which all three Green Day members were born, with next year being the year each band member turns 50.

Fans have been pondering that 1972 could possibly be the title of their next album set for release in 2022.

2021 was also the 30-year anniversary of their last ever independent album Kerplunk! before signing with major label Reprise for their follow up album Dookie, leaving many fans to believe that the group was celebrating the anniversary of the 1991 album with new music.

The band have not substantiated any claims of new music, however, new music has been released in 2021 with Holy Toledo!, Pollyanna and Here Comes The Shock, all being released as official singles.

With three singles released in 2021 and a recording session posted on Instagram, a new album may not be far off and fans assumptions may be more than a hopeful wish.
