Fast and The Furious 9 Trailer And Release Date Drops

Fast and The Furious 9

Get ready to rev those engines – the newest Fast and The Furious trailer is out!

A new trailer, as well as the release date, for Fast and The Furious 9 has been released, more than a year after it was supposed to be released.

The newest film in the franchise will be in cinemas on June 25. The original trailer was shown in January 2020, prior to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Now nearly 15 months later, the newest trailer is three minutes of non-stop action used to entice viewers back to cinemas to watch it.

F9 will see Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto face off against his own brother, who will be played by WWE legend John Cena.

The latest chapter in the now-20-year-old franchise — the original film was released in June 2001 — features all the globe-trotting and death-defying stunts of its predecessors, with one strange new addition: Vehicles that somehow levitate in the air thanks to in-car magnets.

Many of the original cast of the previous films will return for F9, including Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Sung Kang (whose character was killed off in an earlier film yet somehow comes back).

Charlize Theron will play the villain, while Helen Mirren will return as Magdalene Shaw, the mother of Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw (who is not appearing in this film). And while both Cardi B and Ozuna will make appearances in F9, neither show up in the new trailer.

Also returning to the franchise is director Justin Lin, who previously helmed four of the previous films.
