Ed Sheeran & Bring Me The Horizon Release ‘Bad Habits’ Collaboration

Ed Sheeran & Bring Me The Horizon's Bad Habits Collaboration

It was to a very surprised audience that Ed Sheeran and Bring Me The Horizon opened this year’s BRIT Awards with a heavy makeover of Sheeran’s Bad Habits.

And now, to what is sure to be even more surprising, the two have released an official version of this strange collab.

While the studio version obviously lacks the live spectacle of that BRITs performance, there is no doubt that listeners will have a novel thrill hearing Sheeran’s clean-cut pop get swallowed up by BMTH’s riffage and frontman Oli Sykes’ howling.

And as a bonus, the artwork also features the pair as CG-rendered anime vampires. You can listen to this incredible collab below.

“From receiving the email asking whether we’d like to open the brits with Ed Sheeran to us chatting and bouncing ideas to rehearsing and then performing and now releasing, this has needless to say been pretty mental,” said Sykes in a statement.

“But we are all about pushing the boundaries of our own and other genres, so this felt like the perfect challenge.”

The studio release of the collab was teased on BMTH’s Instagram. The post featured a FaceTime call between Ed and Oli, who discuss the performance, with the fans flooding the comments with requests for a recorded version.
