Vampire Diaries actress Candice Accola married her fiancé The Fray singer Joe King over the weekend in true New Orleans style.
Her co-stars Nina Dobrev (Elena), Paul Wesley (Stefan), Kat Graham (Bonnie), Michael Trevino (Tyler) and Vampire Diaries creator Julie Plec were all there to support Accola on her big day.
Unfortunately co-star Ian Somerhalder (Damon) couldn’t make it. However, Ian sent his best wishes via an Instagram photo.
“Candace and Joe- my brother, my sister. What a magical day this is for both of you. From the eye of the storm I am still with you in spirit! I am missing my home state of Louisiana and my city, the great city of New Orleans. Sending you so much love from my shoot in ATL- i’m working hard & I wish I could be there physically, but we have the rest of our lives to celebrate. I love you guys! So. Much,” Somerhalder wrote on Instagram.
The newlyweds met in 2011, and in 2013, Accola starred in The Fray’s music video for “Love Don’t Die.”
King, 34, proposed to Accola, 27, in Florence, Italy in May 2013. Candice posted a picture of the ring, with the caption “Happy”.
