Blake Lively And Ryan Reynolds Donate Millions To Help Migrant Children

Ryan Reynolds and wife Blake Lively have recently donated $2 million to NAACP Legal Defence and Education Fund and Young Centre For Immigrant Children’s Rights, in support of migrant children everywhere.

The couple have stated that they made a sizeable donation to “defend the rights and best interests of immigrant children.”

“We’re blown away by the NAACP Legal Defence and Education Fund, and the Young Centre’s commitment to not only justice and democracy, but humanity.

“Over the last few years, our perspective has grown and we’ve realized we have to do everything possible to foster more compassion and empathy in this world.

“History’s being written right now. We’re grateful to give back to organisations who give voice to so many.”

After making their donations, the charities they donated to will be able to fund major support for social justice.

This definitely isn’t the first time the couple have supported charities in a large way. For years now, Ryan has been supporting charities such as F–k Cancer and the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

Ryan has also brought kids on the sets of his movies through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and has FaceTimed others in full make-up and costume.

In 2008, Ryan ran the New York City Marathon representing the Michael J. Fox Foundation. By doing this, he was honouring his father who unfortunately passed away from Parkinson’s Disease.

What do you think about Ryan and Blake’s generous donation? Let us know in the comments below.
