Beyonce Confirms New Music

Beyonce has confirmed she has been working on new music, as fans eagerly await her first album in over five years.

The singer, who will turn 40 next month, says the new music she has been working on for the past 18 months will help fans escape the turbulence and trauma of the Coronavirus pandemic.

“With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love and laugh again. I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible. I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half,” she said.

Beyonce talked about her music-making process.

“Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare. One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies,” she said.

“Still there’s nothing like the amount of love, passion and healing that I feel in the recording studio. After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as it did when I was nine-years-old. Yes, the music is coming!” she said.

Her last full length studio release, Everything is Love, was released in 2018.

Earlier this year, Beyonce teased that she was “cooking some new music” in an audio clip, which former Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams shared.
