Beyonce has payed tribute to a one of her many fans, who lost a battle to cancer. Lyric Chanel was a 13-year-old fan who passed away recently after losing her two-year battle with brain cancer.
Lyric’s struggle has been documented by her family via Instagram over the last two years. Her fight with brain cancer and anaplastic ependymoma has been inspiration to many around the world. It has also received attention from superstars such as Cardi B and Beyonce, who sent Lyric flowers last year.
Beyonce posted a video on YouTube, which showed pictures and videos from Lyric’s Instagram, singing a combined medley of Brown Skin Girl, Love On Top and Halo over the video.
In the description, Beyonce states, “REST IN PEACE LYRIC CHANEL. I love you with all my heart.”
Lyric’s family shared the devastating news over Instagram, honouring her fight and memory.
“Lyric gained her angel wings this morning at the age of 13 years old. Lyric bravely battled Anaplastic Ependymoma and endured more than a child ever should. She loved singing, listening to music, and dancing. I know she most definitely dancing with all the angels right now. Watch over your family baby girl! You are forever missed,” the caption said.
