Travis Scott Launching An Astroworld Festival

Travis Scott

Travis Scott has announced that that he will hold an Astroworld Festival this November.

Following the success of his third album Astroworld, Scott has released a lot of related merchandise but this is much bigger.

The album, which is named after the Six Flags Astroworld theme park, has sold more than half-a-million album equivalents and inspired Scott to plan the festival.

The festival will be held in his hometown of Houston, adjacent to the Six Flags theme park which closed in 2005.

It was a happy memory for Scott when he was growing up and the festival is about re-living the sense of fun and nostalgia that the theme park represented to him and other kids.

He also intends the festival to be a tribute to the city of Houston as it has greatly influenced him as a kid and an adult artist.

The festival is planned for November 17. Scott will be the main act and a lineup of other to-be-determined artists. Scott plans to create the lineup personally.

As the Six Flags in Houston is closed, the festival will be held in NRG Park, which is across the street from the theme park.
