The first official trailer has been released for Disney’s live-action remake of The Lion King.
The film is set to be released in America on July 19, 2019. The trailer has sent fans into a frenzy after the original animated Lion King was released back in 1994.
In the trailer, we see many familiar scenes including Pride Rock and Rafiki introducing cub Simba to the animals of Pride Land.
The film includes huge names like Beyoncé, Donald Grover, Seth Rogan, John Oliver, Billy Eichner and Chiwetel Ejiofor, just to name a few.
The Lion King remake is directed by Jon Favreau, who re-created the live-action of The Jungle Book.
The film’s production has used cutting-edge CGI to re-tell the story of Simba’s journey to the throne after the death of his father, Mufasa.
Fans of the original movie were delighted to hear the trailer being narrated by James Earl Jones, who plays king Mufasa in both the 1994 original and the 2019 remake. The trailer has had more than 10 million views in less than 24 hours.
