The Sugababes Are Back!

Sugababes

The original trio of the Sugababes have announced the release of new music in 2020. This will be 20 years after their first album, and due to the reunion in store.

They were welcomed on The Graham Norton Show on October 18 and all three members, Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy, stated they have been in the studio together recently.

“We’re actually working on music and we plan to put something special together for our fans,” said Buchanan.

Donaghy added by saying, “It’s our 20th anniversary next year” and after being pressed by Graham Norton about the plans, Buena replied with, “We’re gonna be working on something.”

The iconic band were on the show to perform a cover of Sweet Female Attitude’s song Flowers, which is on the upcoming compilation album Garage Classic.

This track is the official first release by the band since they last were ‘the Sugababes’ several years ago.

They have ultimately recorded an unreleased album in 2011 and 2012, but the only single to be released from that was Flatline, which was released in 2013.

The band were famous for their constant change in band members, which at one point featured no-one from the band’s official original three. They have also achieved six Number One hits during their time.

Their most successful hits may be recognized as Round Round, Push The Button, About You Now, Overload and Freak Like Me.
