R Kelly’s music has been removed from playlists and recommendations on Spotify.
This follows a campaign to boycott the R&B singer who has been accused of sexual misconduct.
Kelly is the target of an online #MuteRKelly boycott campaign that gained new attention last week when it was adopted by the Time’s Up anti-sexual harassment movement.
The 51-year-old has repeatedly denied the accusations.
Spotify said in a statement that the decision to stop actively promoting the singer’s music falls within a new policy that better reflects the company’s values.
Kelly’s music will still be available on Spotify but his music will no longer be promoted on the streaming service.
