REVIEW: Peter Rabbit

Peter Rabbit

Warning: Spoiler alert ahead!

If you need a new film to take the kids to, take them to Peter Rabbit…and even if you aren’t a kid, go see it anyway, like I did. We are all big kids inside.

This movie is hilarious. There is never a dull moment. The trailer doesn’t do it justice. It has something for everyone. Even though the cinema was filled with kids and their parents, I still had an incredible time, so much in fact, I felt like I was in the cinema all by myself. To be honest, sometimes I laughed a little too loud.

Peter Rabbit

This film gives a good twist on the old tale. I grew up reading Peter Rabbit and after a couple of decades, I obviously forgot the nitty-gritty of the story. I remembered the major parts of course. In this movie, you still have the old man Mr McGregor always wanting to keep the rabbits out of his garden, but after he dies, his great nephew Thomas McGregor inherits his property and lets just say, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Just when the rabbits think they can eat all of the food they want, their new neighbour is actually worse. He’s smarter in keeping them out and faster with catching the naughty rabbits.

Peter Rabbit

Surprisingly during the movie, you actually grow to like to the great nephew. Rose Byrne stars in the film and falls in love with the man. Its great to see that the man actually has a heart and isn’t entirely evil.

Peter Rabbit

In Peter Rabbit fashion, the rabbits are so brave and gutsy. They nearly die every time they go into the garden, but never give up. You really fall in love with the rabbits so these scenes are so hard to watch and keeps you on the edge of your seat but it keeps the movie interesting and entertaining. Plus the rabbits are so realistic in this movie, which makes it so easy to fall in love with them even more. All you want to do is hug them. They are so cute!

Peter Rabbit

James Corden has done an amazing job as Peter Rabbit. He is the main reason that this movie is funny.

My favourite scenes are when the rabbits out smart Thomas McGregor. Look out for them when you go and watch the film because they are hilarious. You will not be disappointed.
