Former One Direction member Niall Horan’s 2017 world tour includes only one Australian show.
Horan, who’s song Slow Hands is number two in the charts, will play Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on September 10.
The intimate show is part of his global Flicker Sessions tour where he plays one-night only shows in small venues around the world from August to November.
He follows former bandmate Harry Styles’ downsizing from stadiums to small theatres.
Playing intimate shows will reposition the ex-boy band members as serious artists but ultimately disappoint fans who miss out on tickets.
Horan’s fans will be limited to two tickets per person for the Enmore show, with the purchaser’s name printed on tickets to try to avoid scalping.
Customers who are found to have purchased more than two tickets will have their additional transactions cancelled and resold tickets may also be cancelled.
Horan’s first solo album is expected to be released in line with the tour.
A more extensive world tour is planned for 2018.
