Hold on to your dragons people!

Disney has pushed back the release date of the Mulan live-action film.

The original release date for the movie was on November 2, 2018 but Entertainment Weekly has reported that the movie will now be scheduled for release on March 27, 2020.

*cue hearts breaking around the globe*

There has been an outrage from fans regarding a Mulan movie without music. But director Nick Caro has said that the movie won’t entirely be boring.

“It’s a big, girly martial arts epic. It will be extremely muscular and thrilling and entertaining and moving,” he said.

They reportedly scoured five different continents and auditioned 1,000 candidates before finding the perfect candidate in Chinese actress, Liu Yifei, also known as Crystal Liu.

Liu boasted credible martial arts skills and the ability to speak English which led her to be casted as Mulan’s live-action counterpart.

It is an unsuspecting set-back but I’m still grateful that Disney is making this happen. All good things come to those who wait so let’s all hold on people! We can stay strong until 2020!
