Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West have announced the birth of their third child.
The new baby girl was born to a surrogate on Monday.
“Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl. We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care,” Kardashian said in a message on her website.
“North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister,” the message concluded.
Kardashian, 37, and West, 40, are already parents to daughter North, 4 and son, Saint, 2.
During her first two pregnancies, Kim suffered from placenta accreta, a potentially life-threatening condition, and was advised by doctors that she was too high risk to carry another child.
Her 33-year-old sister Khloe Kardashian confirmed she is expecting her first child with professional basketball player Tristian Thompson, and Kylie Jenner is reportedly pregnant with her first child with rapper Travis Scott but has not confirmed the pregnancy publicly.
