Kanye West Drops Gospel Album & Quits Ordinary Music

Kanye West

Fans are surprised and confused by Kanye West’s decision to change his music career direction.

According to a Chicago music promoter, the music superstar has claimed that he will no longer make secular music, and will only produce gospel music going forward.

Andrew Barber from Fake Shore Drive reports that West said he is “done being an entertainer”, as the rapper is due to release a documentary of the making of the album featuring his famed Sunday Service on October 25.

These comments were made over the weekend at the listening party for his new gospel album, Jesus is King: A Kanye West Experience.

West’s wife and mother to his four children, Kim Kardashian West told US talk show The View that this album has affected West’s religion and begun the process of healing himself.

“He has had an amazing evolution of being born again and being saved by Christ,” she said.

Some fans and Christians are not happy with this announcement, claiming that the rapper is “co-opting’ their culture.

Self-proclaimed Christian Charlene Kaleina, 68, is especially upset by this, claiming that her faith is constantly mocked.

“People who follow Christ sense something is not right with this scene,” she said.
