Musical theatre royalty Lucy Durack and Hi-5 member Lachlan Dearing have been added to the cast of Jack and the Beanstalk.
The giant 3D musical spectacular will be at Sydney’s State Theatre from Friday 12 to Sunday 21 July 2019.
Announcing these wonderful additions to the cast, director and producer, Bonnie Lythgoe said, “I am thrilled to have Lucy Durack, one of Australia’s most exciting leading ladies of stage and screen starring in this year’s Panto playing the magical role of Fairy Crystal (Spirit of the Beans).”
“I have been admiring Lucy from afar and always hoped she would become a cast member and now my wish has come true.”
Not to be outshone in Bonnie’s vision of the production is Dearing.
“He is such a multi-talented actor and will make the perfect Jack.”
Durack and Dearing will be joining Anastasia Feneri, Peter Rowsthorn from Kath and Kim and Jimmy Rees from ABC’s Giggle and Hoot, who are already cast in the show.
