2019’s Golden Globes

Golden Globes 2019

The 76th Golden Globe awards were held in Beverly Hills California yesterday.

Actors Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh hosted the ceremony and opened it with jokes about recent critiques of Hollywood.

Oh’s comments about diversity drew cheers from the audience of celebrities.

“I said ‘yes’ to the fear of being on this stage tonight because I wanted to be here to look out at this audience and witness this moment of change,” she said.

It was a big night for the former Grey’s Anatomy star, who won a Golden Globe for her role in Killing Eve.

Lady Gaga was nominated for two Golden Globes for her critically-acclaimed film A Star is Born and won the award for Best Original Song for Shallow. She, however lost the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama. It was claimed by Glenn Close.
