Daniel Radcliffe Filming In Adelaide

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has been spotted on the streets of Adelaide, filming his new project Escape from Pretoria.

Escape from Pretoria is a prison-break thriller based on the true story of Tim Jenkins and Stephen Lee. The two South Africans, who were anti-apartheid activists, broke out of the maximum-security prison in Pretoria in 1978.

Radcliffe is the headline act, taking on the role of Tim Jenkins and Australian actor Daniel Webber will portray Stephen Lee. Sam Neill has also been rumoured to play social activist Denis Goldberg, who assisted in the prison break.

The 29-year-old actor was donning a blue button-up top paired with high-waisted grey pants. He was also sporting shoulder-length locks and vintage 1970s glasses.

While it’s early days for the production of the film, they are expected to be filming in Adelaide for at least a month.

However, Radcliffe is no stranger to South Australia. The British actor starred in Australian director Ron Hardy’s drama film December Boys back in 2007.
