After more than a decade, the Goddess of Pop, Cher is coming to tour Australia later this year.
She visited Australia as the headline act for the 2018 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras as part of the 40th anniversary celebrations. Our Prime Minister even managed to get a selfie with the 71-year-old pop queen.
Cher’s last Australian tour was back in 2005 titled Living Proof: The Farewell Tour. The 2018 tour (currently untitled) will feature 90-minute renditions of her greatest hits including Believe, If I Could Turn Back Time, Strong Enough and I Got You Babe.
The tour is set to kick off in Newcastle on September 26, followed by shows in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, before wrapping it all up at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on October 18. Tickets go on sale at 10am on May 18 from livenation.com.au.
If that wasn’t enough, Cher is set to feature in the upcoming film, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again as Meryl Streep’s on-screen mother, Ruby Sheridan.
