Cardi B Sued Over Tattoo Design

Cardi B

Cardi B has recently been sued for $5 million over her new tattoo design.

Kevin Brophy Jr. is suing the rapper over the cover on her latest album, which apparently closely represents a tattoo he has on his back, which is constantly revealed due to his job with a company involved with surfing.

The tattoo appears on the male model who appears on the cover with Cardi B herself, as she drinks beer.

The tattoo is of a tiger fighting a snake, which covers the entirety of the model’s back.

Kevin is not only being used with likeness but he states it’s implying he had sex with Cardi B.

Cardi B’s lawyers have been unsuccessful in trying to dismiss this $5 million lawsuit.

This lawsuit was apparently filed back in October 2017 and will go to trial in August 2020, making this an extremely long winded case.

Cardi B has given deposition calling Kevin’s statement “bullshit.”

Her lawyers have claimed that “none of the proceeds of Gangsta Bitch Music, Vol. 1. could be reasonably derived from the tattoo on cover of the mixtape” and that Kevin “has not suffered any real damages from the release of the mixtape.”

No one knows how this will end but you can bet Cardi B and her team will be a lot more careful with the decisions on her album covers.
