‘All My Children’ Star Found With Kidney Cancer

Cameron Mathison

Cameron Mathison, host of the Hallmark Channel, has recently revealed he has kidney cancer.

He is asking for prayers and good thoughts throughout his battle.

He was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma after experiencing pain in his stomach and undergoing an MRI.

Although good news is that it isn’t as serious as you would have thought due to his “healthy lifestyle.”

He is set to have surgery later this week, and he posted on Instagram saying, “I have a health situation that I want to share with you all….I announced this on @homeandfamilytv yesterday, and wanted to make sure I posted about it here as well.

“There are many reasons I love social media, staying connected with you all, sharing fun experiences…. well this time I’m asking for your help.

“About a month ago, I had an MRI for some gut issues I’ve been having, and during the MRI they found a tumor on my right kidney. It’s consistent with Renal Cell Carcinoma…. or kidney cancer.

“The good news is that it hasn’t spread to any other organs. They say my healthy lifestyle and diet has no doubt helped keep it from growing and spreading to other areas, as doctors think it’s been growing in me for minimum 10 years. I am extremely lucky that we found it early.

Shortly after the post was shared, a wave of support flowed through, including messages from actresses Candace Cameron Bure, Ali Sweeney, and fellow All My Children alum Lacey Chabert.

We are wishing Matthew all the love and support in the world.
