Irish boyband, Boyzone are planning to call it quits after their 25-year anniversary tour and the release of a new album later this year.
Dublin to Detroit was the band’s last album, released in 2014, and the new one will be their seventh and last, since the groups’ formation in 1993. The album is dedicated to the late Stephen Gatley, a former band mate who died in 2009.
Front man, Ronan Keating, along with fellow band members, Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy, made announcements on Instagram earlier in the week using the same picture with the caption: “The news is out and yes, it’s true: our new album will be the last for Boyzone. We’ve had twenty-five amazing years and we promise you that this will be our biggest and best year yet. Watch this space… #BZ25.”
