22 Dead After Bomb Explosion At Ariana Grande Concert

Bomb at Ariana Grande Concert

Police have confirmed 22 people are dead and 59 are injured after an explosion at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester Arena.

The suspected suicide bomber reportedly died during the explosion, which is being treated as a possible terrorist attack.

Ariana Grande is obviously “in hysterics” after the attack, so she has now suspended her world tour.

“This incident, this attack, is especially vile, especially criminal, especially horrific because it appears to have been deliberately directed at teenagers,” Australia’s Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said.

“This is an attack on innocence.”

Chief constable of Greater Manchester Police, Ian Hopkins said they believe the man was carrying an improvised explosive device.

The explosion happened in the foyer area of the stadium outside the box office just after the show ended.

Heavily armed police and bomb squads from the Greater Manchester Police Force secured the scene. Officers were still patrolling the surrounding area the next morning and have roadblocks to keep people away from the area.

Mr Turnbull said, if this is confirmed as a terrorist attack, this would be the deadliest attack in the United Kingdom since the London bombings of July 2005.
