Birds of Tokyo Release Their Latest Album Next Month

Birds of Tokyo

ARIA-acclaimed Australian contemporary rock band, Birds of Tokyo, have announced that their new album Human Design will be available on April 24t.

The album was three years in the making and will include four previously released singles since 2018; Unbreakable, Good Lord, The Greatest Mistakes, as well as their newest single Two Of Us, which came out earlier this month.

The optimistic and upbeat newest single Two of Us features a large choir, whose presence can be felt as a marching band of typical college characters through the lawn of what appears to be a campus.

In a press statement, member Ian Kenny explained how the released singles connected with each other, having been written from a personal place.

“These four singles we’ve released over the last 18 months have each been very personal and direct in different ways,” he said.

“It’s great that they seem to have struck deep chords with lots of people but in the first instance, I was just writing words to stop myself going nuts. Creating this music with the guys in the band was really a form of free therapy that’s then played out later in public, so this album is really the culmination of that whole process.”

Human Design will be their sixth album following their 2016 record Brace that at its height appeared at number three on the ARIA Albums Chart.

The band also announced their Symphonic Australian tour earlier this month, which will be their first orchestral show in over a decade. Head to https://www.birdsoftokyo.com/tour/ for more information.
