Avril Lavigne fans, buckle up your seatbelts cause it looks like new music is on its way!
The last new music we heard from Lavigne was when she released her album Avril Lavigne in 2013. The Canadian popstar has been away making album number six for some time now. She has promised her fans that she was nearly at the homestretch earlier this year. It’s been said that she’s also been working with new collaborators as of recently.
Lavigne took to Twitter last Wednesday announcing that something exciting is coming soon, then later on Sunday, the 33-year-old took to Twitter again announcing that she will be shooting her new music video this week.
So, what should fans expect from the new album?
“Personal, dear, intimate, dramatic, raw, powerful, strong and unexpected,” the popstar said back in January.
“This record is a true emotional journey.”
For the last few years, Lavigne has taken a break from music because she has been battling Lyme disease. Lyme disease is a tick-borne illness and symptoms include fever, headache, fatigue, and a characteristic skin rash called erythema migrans. In most cases, the illness can be successfully treated with a course of antibiotics.
