Avicii Dies At 28

Swedish musician, DJ and record producer, Tim Bergling – or better known by his stage name, Avicii – has unfortunately passed away at the age of 28.

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii,” his publicist said in a statement earlier this morning.

“He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.”

Avicii has been one of the biggest names in dance music for the past ten years, with hits like Wake Me Up, Levels and Hey Brother, and he was also the first EDM DJ to go on a worldwide tour.

He had previously suffered from health problems including acute pancreatitis because of excessive drinking, but it has not been made official what his cause of death was.
