Avicii’s Cause Of Death Revealed

Avicii

WARNING: Confronting content and talks of suicide

Avicii’s cause of death has finally been revealed.

The Grammy-nominated DJ was found dead on April 20 in Moscat, Oman at the age of 28.

His family apparently spoke to him on the phone earlier that week and got very worried about his mental state, so his brother was en route to Oman to check on him but unfortunately he was a couple of hours too late.

In a statement last week, his family implied their son took his own life, saying that he “couldn’t go on any longer” and that he wanted to find peace.

TMZ are now reporting that sources close to the Swedish musician (real name Tim Bergling) claim his death was a suicide, allegedly caused by glass from a broken wine bottle and massive blood loss. The results of an official autopsy are yet to be released.

Avicii had been battling health issues for years. He announced in 2016 that he would no longer perform live, following years of stress and alcohol abuse, as well as severe anxiety.

At the age of 21, he was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis, due to excessive drinking, and in 2014, he had to have his gallbladder and appendix removed.
